Leonard A. Lauder Volunteer of the Year Award.
Congratulations to Leebashni Reddy on being chosen as the winner of the international 3rd Annual Leonard A. Lauder Volunteer of the Year Award.
Lee was featured in my article on Optimism and its impact on life when I wrote about her husband Naven. Lee’s well deserved award comes from her work over the past few years for The Robin Hood Foundation, Embo village, R.P.Moodley School for Disabled children and St Thomas Children’s home. Lee will be flown to New York to receive this prestigious and extremely well deserved award on the 25th February 2013.
She was chosen from Estee Lauder employees worldwide, after having received two separate nominations for the volunteer work that she has done.
An extract from her awards letter reads “the calibre of your volunteerism represents the tremendous spirit of our employees and exemplifies “Leading from Every Chair”. Community Service is in our DNA at the Estee Lauder Companies, and your commitment to service is an integral part of our High Touch approach”.
Lee emanates empathy, generosity and this amazing inner (as well as physical) beauty when you meet her. She will be awarded money towards her charities which no doubt will make a huge impact on many individuals that are looked after by these charities or organisations.
Well done Lee and we look forward to hearing all about the trip to New York and the glittering awards ceremony. Get lots of photos and enjoy!!
To the Estee Lauder Companies, I applaud your commitment to community service and to acknowledging people like Lee who give so willingly of their time.
