We recently held an EQ Educator course in Durban led by Dr Susan Stillman. 20 educators attended this program on how to introduce the Self Science curriculum into their classrooms and teaching curricular.
Lee was awarded her Volunteer award at a lavish ceremony and both came home brimming with pride and achievement. The Leonard A. Lauder Volunteer of the Year Award is given globally for outstanding commitment to volunteerism that has made a significant impact on the community.

I really enjoyed the article which appeared in the Northglen News in the Y- Generation section on the 29th March written by Sacha Griffiths, on emotional intelligence in children. As an EQ practitioner I see the benefits of developing emotional intelligence and am pleased to say that internationally EQ is becoming more of a focal point than ever before as it is acknowledged that it is a greater determinant of success than IQ.
Ideally coaching supports clients to create positive change – but change doesn’t happen just from “knowing.” Emotions are a key driver for professional and personal transformation. The CEQ equips professionals with a powerful emotional intelligence assessment (the SEI) and the Six Seconds Change MAP as a roadmap for structuring a transformational coaching process fuelled by EQ. This workshop took place in Durban from 4-7 March 2013 and was led by Jayne Morrison.
These delegates (above) attended the EQE Certification workshop at Calissa Lodge on the 11th & 12th March. It was led by Dr Susan Stillman, sitting in the front row. Educators were taught how to introduce Social emotional learning to children in their learning environments.
The group that attended the EQ Coach course which was run at Calissa Lode from 4-7 March and taught delegates how to conduct and debrief the Six Seconds Self Assessment EQ test known as the SEI as well as teaching coaching techniques and the change MAP process.
It was an in-house workshop for the Management and Sales and Ops teams from Forward African Transport Services (Pty) Ltd. Also held at Calissa Lodge on 8 and 9 February 2013 and was an introduction to Emotional Intelligence and Team building.
